A contract was awarded to GWPT to design a ‘LEED for homes’ certified ecological home in Don Mills for a private client. The project has been called the ‘2Spruce House’ as the design incorporates a courtyard that preserves 2 large Norway spruce trees that normally would have to be removed to accommodate the 400 sq. m home. Among other environmental technologies a 2.2kW PV solar array has been incorporated to provide power to a charging receptacle for an all- electric vehicle station.
